We're excited about Hinkletown Mennonite Church's Vacation Bible School to be held on July 11-15, 2010. This year's program is "The Egypt Files, Decoding the Mystery of Life". A week of fun and adventure!
Calling all sleuths! Grab your backpacks and prepare to decode the mystery of life! With The Egypt File, kids will learn that they were specially created in the image of God for the purpose of loving and serving Him. Bible in hand, they'll unravel the clues that answer such questions as:
- Did we come from ape-men?
- Were we specially designed by God?
- Are our lives valuable?
- How can I have eternal life?
Gather your gear and join us for an unforgettable adventure! We will have a great time with lively songs, creative crafts, tasty snacks and Bible stories. The Egypt Files can be an inspirational and educational adventure for children ages two through 8th grade. Classes begin on Sunday July 11 through Thursday July 15 at 7:00pm to 8:45pm. During the week, children will be taught truths that they can apply to their lives.
On Sunday, they will learn about The Truth About Life, taking a look at the creation of man. (Genesis 1:26-28, 2:7-23)
On Monday, they will learn about The Wonder of Life, taking a look at how fearfully and wonderfully we are made. (Psalms 139)
On Tuesday, they will learn about Eternal Life, taking a look at the gospel message of salvation. (Genesis 3)
On Wednesday, they will learn about The Value of Life, taking a look at protecting and respecting life. (Exodus 1-2)
On Thursday, they will be learn about Using Your Life, we are created for a reason. (Exodus 1-14, I Cor. 12:12-26)
We are looking forward to sharing this exciting event with you. Our week of VBS will close with a program by the children on Thursday at 8:30pm where they will share with us a few songs and memories followed by a power-point presentation from their time at The Egypt Files, Decoding the Mystery of Life . There will be a small snack provided for everyone following the closing on Thursday night. Plan to join us as we teach kids to look at "Life" with a whole new perspective.
One special notice - there will be no adult speaker this year.
